Thanks to his parents’ interest in music, Mark Renwick developed an interest in many kinds of music at an early age. Mark discovered vintage recordings by rummaging through his dad’s collection of 78s, making many musical discoveries ranging from acoustic John McCormack records to Paul Whiteman, John Charles Thomas, Fats Waller, Tommy Dorsey, and beyond. In particular, Mark embraced his dad’s passion for the theatre pipe organ, an American relic from the 1920s, the days of silent films and the motion picture palace. Vacations find Mark traveling around the country to play and listen to restored examples of “The Mighty Wurlitzer” and theatre pipe organs of other manufacturers. Mark and his wife, Carrie, reside in Jacksonville,
Florida, where Mark is employed by a large financial institution.
